 What is Happening in Dolltown?
It's all about the eggs this week.
Candy eggs... So pretty!

The girls don't want to change out of their pretty dresses...
So I will have to get creative for my next choice of activities. To persuade them, because we have to put the dresses away...
Hmmm, we've done yoga outfits, pants and sweaters, Sockwear of course...
But before we change we are enjoying our Tomi Janes, Pachoms and Erin Greens...
I continue to be amazed at the level of skill and design I encounter in the doll world.

Well the week was all about the Easter Egg Hunt!

Where but in Dolltown would there be a week long egg hunt!
Bunny had done his work all over the world.
So it was a piece of cake for him to hang out with his friends here, and keep the baskets full, just by thinking about eggs.
It's basically magic.
I'd like to have a super power like that. Something.
Maybe not nonstop candy and chocolate.
A girl's got to keep her shape!
Hanging out with Floora has been a good influence. As a ballet dancer she is very nutritionally aware. I had been enjoying G's pies and cookies. But now Floora has him making salads with fig infused balsamic vinegar. You-Know-Who doesn't know what to think...
The children, of course, are in an uproar. What is a fig anyway? Xennia says.
Just wait til their candy runs out, is what I think. Then what?
Next week... Definitely the picnic photos!
And we are hoping the photos of Conner, before she left for Paris, will be posted.
Then we can get started on the Paris photos. Conner is there for weeks!
There's talk of doll museums, gardens...
Stay tuned!
Pop over to Dolltown to see the photos posted this week!

Jan Foulke's Guide to Dolls: A Definitive Identification & Price Guide Paperback – Sep 2006

$9.98

Customer Review by Pen Name Whether you have an antique china head doll or a vintage GI Joe, this Guide to Dolls is an identification and price guide that's worth having. It seems to replace the Blue Book of Doll Values that Jan Foulke has become known for. (Her last Blue Book was the 16th edition.)However, don't let the name of the book fool you, it is just as comprehensive as the Blue Books and is still packed with a lot of photos to help you identify your existing dolls (or those you may be considering purchasing). The first few pages cover doll collecting in general -- what to look for. Ms. Foulke then provides a few brief suggestions for buying and selling dolls at auction before getting into the meat of the book--the price guide.

The book lists dolls by manufacturer and by mold number in case that's all you have to go by. Each doll or type of doll includes a reported price or price range for a doll in good condition.

Whether you are an avid doll collector or someone just trying to clean out the attic, you may want Jan Foulke at your side before buying or selling your dolls.

Do you have a Jan Foulke's book?

I'd love to hear what you think of it and how you use it!

The 225 photos (32 pages in full colour) and 159 illustrations will help the collector, dealer, or any interested individual to discover not only when a doll was made but also where it was made and who made it. The Makers and Marks Section includes 162 doll makers and manufacturers with information including mould numbers, sizes, manufacturing dates and references for over 1600 dolls. This book is an invaluable source for anyone who owns a doll or dreams of owning one. It is a "must have" for anyone who is curious about dolls.

Well, we found our way out of our, "What do we wear next?" dilemma. I let all the girlschoose their own dress
I said it is not time for shorts or sundresses. But we have to put away all our tights...
Faith is wearing one of the dresses from Susan Elizabeth. And the dresses came with the cutest pantaloons and hairbows!
The bows from Susan Elizabeth inspired all the girls to choose satin ribbons. So, although there is a mix of clothes, every one is wearing a hair bow.

We have photos backing up.
Conner and April have sent us lots of Paris photos. And we are ready for our Eiffel Tower project! So lots more photos coming...as soon as You-Know-Who can fix this tech glitch...
Last week, the children had their fill of la pizza, fromage, and macarons. Now they are excited to meet up at the picket fence, on their way to finish a wonderful project!
And Faith is excited because she is our May girl. And that means she gets to organize how our project gets done.
I heard Faith say she wants You-Know-Who to get some glitter. Uh oh!
So...stay tuned next week for photos...
Of Conner in Paris
And the children in Dolltown and the Eiffel Tower model building!
Now I'd love to say we'll see the Ellowynes and Iples...but don't hold your breath.
But we will see the boys because they are already on their way to their meet up at the picket fence with Scout, Lula, and Evie.

A lot that we never see or experience!
But Conner, with April in Paris, just attended the Musee de Poupee Paris... (pardon my font!)
And she sent some lovely photos of the inhabitants of this doll museum.
Lots of Vintage! Conner was very impressed and wanted to bring home friends!
April had to do some fast talking...No, dear, these dolls live here at the Museum!
We are amazed at the idea of the sheer numbers of dolls there must be out there in the world! And a few of them fill a grand museum in Paris. Conner is a lucky doll!
Thanks April!

And the girls are excited! Of course some of them think it is very tall, like the real Eiffel Tower. I have to go break it to them!

But thanks to an influx of Monster High dolls to Dolltown, there is a new batch of just-right clothes for Phoebe.
