What's This? A Christmas Package from Auntie April!

April, talented Fashion Doll Stylist, sent us a package for Christmas.

She let me know that it was coming, that she had returned from Paris with a few things for the Little Darlings. She has become fond of them, as we are of her beautiful, and beautifully dressed, divas!

It seems far fetched, but a few of the Little Darlings snuck out of Dolltown last June, with some chaperones, of course, and headed for Paris, where April has an apartment.... But that's another story!

I didn't breathe a word to the girls about the package.

But here it is, and it wasn't long before several of the girls heard about it.

And Priscilla too! She was with the Paris girls...

A parcel! With gifts from April! And from Paris!

We are so excited... Let's open it!

It's Christmas!

The girls are beside themselves! A box packed full...

There's postcards, of the Mona Lisa, and Paris itself.

And treats! For dolls and humans!

(Can we say friandises? We must learn more French!)

And two Eiffel Towers!

A little one that Birdy gave to Priscilla to keep safe for them. (And to make her happy!)

And one that is a real 3D Eiffel Tower for the girls to color and assemble! Imagine!

So Dolltown can have its own French Quarter!

And there are tiny bunnies-stuffies for the girls!

And the loveliest note from April herself. With drawings!

Because that is just one of the things that April does as a part of being a world famous designer of doll couture.

Just saying that makes us all feel very lucky here, to have April and all her beautiful girls as Dolltown friends.

April! The Little Darlings and Priscilla say Merci Beaucoup!

The girls stopped long enough for a photo and a wave. Then ran off to tell the others.

There's enough to share.

Because it's Christmas, and we are feeling blessed.

Can you pass the caramels, girls, before you go?

(Say caramels!)

And bring me some pencil crayons? Thank you, darlings...

And thank you, dear April. Merci!

Little Darlings in the Stage Room...

More photos of our Little Darlings in the fancy Ellowyne fashion doll dresses...

See our Ellowynes in these dresses, in the January blog post, Ellowynes in The Ballroom.

Xennia, Pearl, Jiyoon, Maggie, and Birdy are wearing original Ellowyne dresses, I believe.

Rosa and Tink are wearing Ellowyne dresses made from dressmakers.

Zoey, in red, is wearing a sequin dress made for the Little Darlings. But I bought it for my older vintage Cindy's. And our Betsy McCall, Pamela, wore it as a festive Christmas dress.

In the first photos our Little Darlings are waiting for the Stage Room to be set up...

On the right, in the photos, you can see a little of our red piano...ready for a concert!

In the photos on the left side here, you can see the little Ellowyne high heels the girls would have worn, had they fit.

Thanks Willow! So thorough!

Little Darlings Dress Up

The Little Darlings were invited to a Facebook Anniversary party. And found there were no Little Darling frilly, smocked, or lace dresses in their cupboard!

Well, not enough to go around...

Ellowynes to the rescue! Willow brought a mound of dresses...and high heeled shoes to match!

The Little Darlings pounced on the pretty dresses. The shoes did NOT fit, much to their disappointment. But the dresses did, almost! A few pins, a hair ribbon and they were ready for the party...

Tink, of course, opted for a silk flower the size of her head. Over the top, Tink. Thank you, she says!

For more photos from this lovely photo shoot, hop over to the Little Darlings page.

The girls didn't want the party to end after the photos were taken! As a matter of fact they are still wearing their fancy dresses...

Birdy got to wear her pretty yellow dress on a trip to Art Knapps, where we got some cute photos! But that's another story...

Willow is flanked here by Xennia in the flouncy fuschia flowered dress and Jiyoon in the black slip dress trimmed with shiny fuchsia ruffle.

Both are part of Willow's Woefully Romantic original outfit.  Jiyoon's dress is actually a slip for the flouncy overdress! 2 for 1!

Check out the Ellowyne fashion shoot, Ellowynes In the Ballroom, with the Ellowyne's themselves wearing most of these dresses! All except Zoey's red sequin dress...

Hi! I'm Faith...

Before our Snow Day, Faith gets to explore the Dolltown environment.

She is a little surprised at the cold, and all the snow.

But we know we have to have our snow play day soon because our weather fluctuates and the snow can disappear in the blink of an eye.  Well, overnight sometimes.

Faith gets to know the other girls when they go out to check on snow conditions.

Scout, Pearl, and Faith are deciding on best locations for  jumps. Jumps?

Wait a minute!

The girls are also deciding if they should go and get the boys. They know the guys would enjoy a day in the snow, too.

But are there enough winter coats? Maybe the big boys will share theirs...

Into the Year 2016, dollings

2016

Set intentions, possibilities...

Gratitude for all my company here, alive and seem-alives.

And thanks to all my dollhead readers and explorers!

Toy Story reruns were played almost daily! And we watched a movie called Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium, with Dustin Hoffman, Natalie Portman, and Jason Bateman.

A toy store comes alive! Lots of great scenes.

 Zoey likes to look ahead.

Xenny wants things to turn out in the end.

All's well that ends well.

Grace!

We got you a doll!

Yes, that's a golden acupuncture doll.

A female.

We got it for Grace, our South Korean Traditional Chinese Acupuncturist and friend.

Before we wrapped this dolly, we all got a good look at her. Little Darling Chantal is fascinated.

G asked if the meridians were correct. Hmmm.

Doesn't matter! But what a bonus it would be, eh?

A couple of friends took Dolltown dolls on holiday road trips! Such good friends!

The dollies love Aunt Jacalyn and Auntie M...adventures!

Can anyone say Calgary hockey game?

Photos coming.

It's a reconnaissance mission. The girls have come out with me to the Doll Studio while I take some photos.

They know it's been snowing again.

They want a Snow Play day.

Is there enough snow? Is there any sign of animals?

Zoey and Scout are impressed with the snow. Not so impressed with the cat tracks Gabby saw.

But it won't stop them!

Tink, Chantal, and the other Little Darlings have heard the go-ahead and are changing into warm clothes. Faith is very excited to play in the snow. We think it's her first time!

The boys, overhearing the Little Darlings, are scrambling for coats and boots. Will they have to take turns with the winter clothes?
